What is the difference between Norman Normandy and Woodlore shutters?

Norman Normandy shutters are made from solid basswood — real wood with 24 paint and 18 stain finish options. Woodlore shutters use a composite wood-polymer blend, making them more moisture-resistant — ideal for kitchens, bathrooms, and high-humidity rooms. Woodlore Plus is fully waterproof and designed for shower enclosures and very wet environments.

Installation typically takes a few hours to a full day depending on the number of windows. From initial measurement to completed installation, most orders are ready within 3–5 weeks. 2 Real wood or faux wood: pick the line

Woodlore®: wood composite with a polypropylene coating; resists moisture and warping. Woodlore® Plus: Woodlore composite frames with waterproof ABS louvers. Normandy®: real hardwood, painted or stained.

3 Louver (vane) size

Larger louvers give a clearer view when open and a bolder look. Smaller louvers look more traditional.

7 Divider rail and split tilt

A divider rail is a crossbar across the panel, so the top and bottom louvers tilt on their own. Norman requires one on tall panels: over 78″ for Normandy and Woodlore Plus, over 74″ for Woodlore.
