ExteriorEvery Soluna can be ordered with any of four operating systems. The right choice depends on your window size, how often you operate the shade, and whether you want smart-home integration.
Pull the bottom rail handle down to lower; push up to raise. No cords or chains — Norman's best-in-class cordless system. WCMA Best for Kids™ certified.
A side-mounted bead chain operates the shade in both directions. Smooth, consistent force regardless of shade weight. Ideal for most windows.
Norman's patent-pending innovation. Releases the shade from a raised position with a gentle pull — no lifting required. Raceway included. Ideal for high or hard-to-reach windows.
Battery or hardwired motor inside the roller tube. Control by app, remote, wall switch, voice (Alexa/Google/HomeKit), or schedule. Completely cord-free.
Every Soluna fabric is organized into one of four light control levels. Within each level there are multiple fabric collections with different textures, weaves, and colorways — current options vary by season.
Woven mesh fabric. Reduces glare and UV while maintaining your view. You see out — people cannot easily see in during daylight hours.
Diffuses sunlight into a soft glow while maintaining privacy during the day. The warmest, most decorative option. Best for living areas and dining rooms.
Blocks approximately 98% of light. Small amount of light may pass at edges. Ideal for bedrooms, media rooms, and shift workers.
100% light block through the fabric. Paired with side channels or a cassette system to seal edges, achieving true total darkness. Nurseries, home theaters, night-shift sleepers.

The shade fits within the window opening. Clean, recessed look that shows off the window trim. Most popular choice for windows with depth.
The shade is mounted on the wall or trim above the window opening. The shade hangs wider and taller than the opening, maximizing light blockage and making windows appear larger.
