Shade configuration
Standard: single shade per bracket set.

Fabric type
Sheer: max view-through · Light Filtering: most popular · Natural: bamboo, jute & paper blends (max 96″W) · Blackout: coated backing · Solar Screen: UV & glare control by openness % · Commercial Solar: NA series, 118″ wide · Designer: linen weaves & specialty textures (PG3–PG4).
Solar openness factor
Lower % = tighter weave, more privacy & glare control. ±10% tolerance is normal.
⚠ Blackout fabric alone still allows edge light gaps. Add Full Blackout Side Channels in Step 6 to get as close to dark as we can.

Dual shade fabrics
Dual shade = two rolls in one headrail. Back roll (faces glass) is always Blackout. Front roll (faces room) is your choice below. Priced as two individual shades.

Lift system
Continuous Cord Loop handles large widths & heavy fabrics — child-safe tensioner required. Cordless max width varies by fabric weight. AutoLift™ is Norman's spring-tension pull system (+$86 AutoLift™ upgrade available for controlled descent).
⚡ Norman Smart motorization is $482/shade. Rollease Acmeda Automate is custom-priced (for customers integrating an existing Rollease smart-home system). Power source (battery/hardwired) and remote confirmed at your measurement visit.

Light control
Blackout fabric alone reduces but does not eliminate light. For the darkest result add Full Blackout Side Channels — channels down both sides plus a sealed top. Select it above to include it.
Openness factor — lower % = less light & more privacy:
±10% openness tolerance is normal and not a defect.
Cellular shades use honeycomb cell construction for insulation and privacy. Blackout cells block most light — ideal for bedrooms and media rooms.
Zebra/banded shades come in translucent or Blackout only — full blackout is not available in this style.
Natural woven shades filter light through the weave. Add a liner for extra privacy or Blackout:
